Help & FAQ

World Heritage Tracker helps you collect your visits to all 1,273 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It works fully offline, with no account required — your data lives on your device. Here are answers to the most common questions.

How do I record a visit?

Open a site from the map or search, then tap mark as visited. You can add the date you visited, an optional memo, and one photo. A stamp appears on the site to mark it collected.

Where are my photos stored?

Visit photos are saved only on your device, in the app’s private storage. They are never uploaded to any server. Location metadata (EXIF/GPS) is removed before the photo is saved. If you uninstall the app, the photos are removed with it.

How do I reset my data?

Go to Settings → data reset to permanently delete all of your visit records, photos, and preferences. This cannot be undone.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Recording visits, browsing the catalog, and earning badges all work without a connection. Reference photos and descriptions for sites you haven’t opened before may need a connection to load the first time.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Everything works on the device immediately.
